Could you tell me the best book I should read for my first vacation with my wife and 4 and 2 year old? Also what other planning resources are available?

    Hi Christian!

This is a great question.  I highly recommend two books:
    • The Complete Walt Disney World by Julie and Mike Neal.  This is a great book for first time visitors as it is full of information and tips, but is it is not overwhelming.  It is also a beautiful book full of color photographs.
    • PassPorter Guide to Walt Disney World by Dave and Jennifer Marx.  This is also a great book for first time visitors, though it doesn't have as many pictures at the other book.

If you want to know as much as possible about Walt Disney World, then you should consider getting the book "The Unofficial Guide to Walt Disney World" co-authored by Len Testa.  It is huge and very comprehensive which can make it daunting for first time visitors.

Other planning resources are on the internet including the independent websites MouseSavers.Com and AllEars.Net.  Of course, don't forget to come back to the Walt Disney World Moms Panel with more questions!
