Hi Bernadette,
Over the years, we have taken advantage of much of the
child care available at Walt Disney World. There are two main types of child care available at Walt Disney World. The first is the Children's Activity Centers. There are five Children's Activity Centers at Walt Disney World. The closest to Disney's BoardWalk Villas are the Sandcastle Club at Disney's Beach Club Resort and Camp Dolphin at the Walt Disney World Dolphin Hotel. My daughter has always enjoyed her time at the Children's Activity Centers. From dressing up to playing games to creating art to seeing Disney movies, she enjoys this child-focused time. There are slight variations in the pricing structure now as some Children's Activity Centers are changing the way they handle charging. Some still charge hourly, while others are a flat rate for the evening. For more specifics on pricing, please see the website I linked, or call 407-WDW-DINE (407-939-3463) for information about most of the Children's Activity Centers. For information on Club Dolphin, call 407-934-4241. When you make a reservation, be sure to mention if you are a Disney Vacation Club Member as there is currently a 15% discount for Disney Vacation Club Members at the Children's Activity Centers (excluding Club Dolphin).
The second option that you have is in-room babysitting. Although Disney does not run this service, there is a service called Kid's Nite Out that can provide in-room babysitting at Walt Disney World resort hotels. We have used them in the past, and my daughter always enjoyed that the babysitters arrived with a bag of books and activities to do. You can visit their website at kidsniteout.com, and call to make a reservation at 1-800-696-8105. Pricing is available on the website and varies with the number of children.
Have a great time planning your magical vacation, Bernadette!
