Can you tell me what the availability for The Boardwalk is usually like in January? My family plans to go in Jan. 2014 and we will need 2 villas. Boardwalk is not our home but we are really interested in staying there. Thank you in advance for answering.

    Hi Susan,

Thank you so much for the question!  January is a wonderful time to visit Walt Disney World.  It is in the Adventure Season so the points per villa are the lowest of the year.  My family stayed at the Boardwalk Resort this past summer and really loved being able to walk or take a short boat ride to both Hollywood Studios and Epcot!  Since the Boardwalk is not your Home Resort, I would be sure to book this at your 7 month window.  I am not sure when your use year is, but I would book this the first available time you can (Member Services open at 8:00 am and you can book online at this time as well.)  If you are able to book any time in January, I would opt to NOT do so over the Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend.  In 2013, this is January 10-14th.  The dates are not out yet for 2014.  It will usually be one of the first two weekends in January depending on how the Holiday falls.  These dates book up extremely fast due to the number of runners who are participating in RunDisney races.  You will also have the option of booking a regular two bedroom villa or a two bedroom Lock-off villa.  The Lock-off is basically a one bedroom villa connecting with a deluxe studio.  This can be a great option if you have multiple families or friends traveling together, and one of the parties would like some privacy with a separate entrance.  I know your upcoming vacation will be here before you know it, Susan!  Please let me know if I can help you further!
