    Hi Moms! Can you tell me if there is anything that can be done special for a birthday at Rainforest Cafe in Animal Kingdom? We will be celebrating my son's 11th birthday there on April 4th, 2014. Thanks so much for all of the wonderful tips you give daily

    Hi Christa,

    A few years ago, we celebrated a young friend's birthday with dinner at the Rainforest Cafe at Animal Kingdom. We let the server know that it was her birthday and ordered the sparkling volcano dessert, which serves at least three people.

    The towering brownie cake with ice cream on top is served with a sparkler and a candle on top. Plus, the servers shout "Vollll-Caaa-Nooooo" as they carry the sparkling cake to the table. The birthday girl, who was about 10 at the time, and all the kids in our party thought it was really fun. It's also an easy alternative to ordering a standard birthday cake.

    (By the way, make sure you get your son a free Happy Birthday button from Guest Relations at any of the theme parks or hotel lobbies. Wearing the button is a great way to get lots of good wishes and sometimes leads to magical surprises from cast members.)
