Greetings, Jesse!
Welcome to planDisney, and excellent question! Walt Disney World has several rules in place to keep each Guest safe. After looking through the
list of prohibited items, I recommend keeping your portable stool at home. Even though it is described as a stool, folding chairs are not allowed in any theme park, water park, or Disney Springs. I fear that this stool is very similar to a folding chair, so the safest option would be to leave it behind.
All items are subject to the discretion of the security guards at each entrance, but I would hate for you to arrive and have to turn back to your car or resort to return your stool, if it is not allowed. My fellow panelist, Jenna, advises contacting Walt Disney World through the non-reservation question
line if you have any additional questions about your specific item.
If you do happen to need additional mobility assistance, you can always rent an
EVC or
wheelchair while visiting the theme parks. During my most recent visit, my dad brought his walking stick with him to help navigate the theme parks. We also took plenty of breaks throughout the day in restaurants or on benches. The breaks were also the perfect opportunity to enjoy a Mickey-shaped treat and soak in the
scenic views of Walt Disney World. I highly recommend those small breaks throughout your day.
Jesse, I hope this has helped answer your question. If you need help with anything else, you know where to
find us!
See ya real soon,
Shantel
