50s Prime Time Cafe

I want to take my teens (16 & 18) to Prime Time Cafe. Although they would get a kick out of the decor & amusing server antics, they would NOT want to be singled out publicly and would refuse to sing, etc.. Will they be comfortable?

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Linda! Thank you for visiting us again with another great question!

50's Prime Time Cafe is one of our favorite dining locations at Disney's Hollywood Studios. My mom loves the vintage décor and the atmosphere as it reminds her of her youth, I love it too and think the performers are awesome. My fourteen year-old nephew, though, does not like the table-etiquette lessons and the public chastisement for misbehavior at the table. I understand when you say your adolescent children would not like to be singled out either. Don't worry, Linda, all you need to do is let your server know that your teens would not like to be called out. They will totally understand and will not force things at all. You will see they will have lots of fun watching others get lectured about their poor manners and "naughtiness" when eating!

After dinner, be sure to browse the dessert menu for sweet treats that include a to-die-for chocolate peanut butter layer cake and warm apple crisp—just like Mom’s!

Linda, I hope this information is useful and we really hope you will keep coming back with more and more questions.

Wishing you a pixie-dusted vacation at the Walt Disney World Resort

Meet the Panelist: Desiree, Peru

Hi! I'm Desiree from Lima, Peru. My family will never ever tire of visiting the Most Magical Place on Earth, even if means traveling almost 3,000 miles to do so! My husband and I love to watch the fireworks with our kids, but the best magic happens when the grandparents come along and we all feel the same age in front of Cinderella Castle! I love giving tips about different types of resorts and traveling with multigenerational groups.
