Hi there, Alison! Welcome to planDisney! There’s so much to be excited about for an upcoming Walt Disney World vacation. The rides! The shows! The characters!
The food!
Remy said "If you are what you eat, then I only want to eat the good stuff,” and I think all the snacks and dining locations at Walt Disney World definitely qualify as the “good stuff.” I browsed through several Walt Disney World restaurant menus to verify, and each menu said “Kids' menu items for children ages 9 and younger.” It’s in small print, light-colored letters just below the kids’ menu items, but it’s there.
I know what it’s like to travel with people who have specific tastes. If something on the kids’ menu has activated your travel companion’s appetites, then I’d suggest talking with your server to see if they can recommend something similar elsewhere on the menu. Cast members are always super friendly, and it never hurts to ask!
When you’re formulating your vacation dining plans, remember that you can book your
Dining reservations up to
60 days in advance of your trip. This is available to all guests, but those staying at a Walt Disney World Resort have the added perk of making reservations up to 60 days in advance of their arrival for the entire length of their visit (up to 10 days). Some dining locations are very popular, so you’ll want to be ready at 6:00 AM (Eastern Time) when the reservation window opens up.
Alison, I hope this helps with your planning. Don’t hesitate to send us any other questions you may have. You’re
planDisney pals are always happy to help!
Bon appétit and magical travels!
Matt
