Hi there, Sabena!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I am so glad you sailed by with your question about your upcoming Disney Cruise Line vacation! I know your family will have an incredible time at sea – with activities and entertainment for ALL AGES, everyone is sure to have a memorable time!
Oh, do I ever look forward to the time when my boys WANT and NEED their own space! While the staterooms are very well equipped and laid out for families, I can imagine that as they get older we will want to give them (and us) some extra space so adjoining rooms or close-by rooms will be something we will be looking in to. Each Key to the World card is programmed to the stateroom that each Guest is booked in and cannot be programmed to open more than one stateroom. You can, however, stop by Guest Services once onboard and request additional room keys to access another room on your reservation.
Since you will be traveling with teenagers who will undoubtedly make new friends in the
onboard teen clubs and will be waning their independence on the ship, make sure they (and you) have the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app downloaded to their smartphones. There is a super fun chat feature on it that will allow you to keep in touch with them when onboard. It also has a schedule of activities and entertainment for everyone to keep up with all the fun onboard. You can send them reminders about dinner dress code and reminders to meet you for a planned excursion! They certainly won’t want to miss out on the fun and I am sure the subtle message reminders will be helpful for all.
Wishing you a magical and memorable voyage at sea!
Stephanie
