My teenage son and I are visiting for 1 day. We purchased a park hopper and a Star Wars after hours ticket. Do you have any suggestions on how we can best use our day? Start at DCA, head back to the hotel to rest, and then head to DL around 8:30?

Hi, Alison! Welcome to planDisney. Thank you for bringing us your Disneyland Resort planning question.

I understand you have tickets for Disneyland After Dark: Star Wars Nite. So fun! Take advantage of the unique photo opportunities--you get unlimited digital downloads of your Disney PhotoPass photos during the party. This will be one of the best keepsakes of the night!

Before the event, I highly recommend spending most of your time at Disney California Adventure Park. You are coming just in time to enjoy the Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival. This event is a dream come true for foodies! There are culinary demonstrations, live music, and so much more. This is also the only time of year you can experience Soarin' Over California, my favorite version of this popular Disney attraction.

Tip: Sit down, grab a snack, check out the Foodie Guide to Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival, and make a list of all the items you want to try!

After enjoying the parks, I recommend heading to your hotel and resting. You are going to need energy for your Disneyland After Dark event. Did you know that your ticket includes admission to Disneyland Park as early as 6:00 p.m.? No park reservations are required!

Alison, I hope this helps you. I wish you the happiest and most galactical visit to The Happiest Place on Earth!

    Your Pal,
    Alejandra
