Hi mom's! I am a teenage girl who has been longing to go on a disney cruise for many years now, & my family thinks it's going to be filled with disney things, & that it's way too expensive. What can I do to persuade them to go on 1 w/ out worryin

    Hi Kim!

You are so awesome!  I think it's fantastic that you are taking it upon yourself to convince your parents to take you on a Disney cruise.  You must be an amazing girl!

First, let me tell you that you are absolutely correct.  While it is all about Disney, the ship is anything but childish.  In fact, the ships that are part of Disney Cruise Line are magnificent and offer so much for adults and kids to do together and apart.  Let them know that there is an adults only pool, bars, coffee bar, restaurants, and even spas.  The late night evening entertainment is also for adults only.  As for the expense, when you break down the fact that your room, food, entertainment, kids clubs, and different ports are all included, it really is rather reasonable.  Let me not forget to mention that if your ship stops at Castaway Cay, adults have their own private beach...no kids allowed.  Really, the only extras that a Guest has to pay for are alcoholic beverages, specialty coffees, port adventures and gratuities.  There is also an additional charge when dining at Palo or Remy.

Please go to www.disneycruise.com and order a free Disney Cruise Line video and have your parents watch.  I don't know anyone who can resist planning a Disney cruise after seeing that!

I really hope that this works out for you.  Good luck Kim!

Magic Kingdom still takes my breath away, but my favorite place to be is on a Disney ship looking at the horizon and breathing in that crisp, clean ocean air!  I love planning Disney vacations for others and making sure it's more than they dreamed. Learn More About Marisol
