You must be SO excited to see your daughter performing in front of all the guests at
EPCOT! When my son's choir performed at
Disney Springs, I know I was beaming with pride the entire trip. It's such a magical experience for them--and for us parents!
Typically, when school groups travel to Walt Disney World, they get Student Group Tickets. When I chaperone hundreds of high school seniors, those are the tickets provided to us as well. With those, Cast Members have explained that this particular type of ticket cannot be upgraded to include an additional number of days. Because of this, you might want to purchase an additional ticket for the days your daughter will be extending her stay with the family.
On your trip, you'll be immersed in the magic of the
EPCOT International Festival of the Arts. What a great time to visit! As you walk to World Showcase, be sure to look down--there is absolutely amazing chalk art on the outside edge of the sidewalk. You'll need a minute or two to gaze in wonder at each of these beauties. I do every time!
During the festival, you'll be able to enjoy a concert series that features guest performers from several DISNEY ON BROADWAY shows--and they are outstanding! If you'll be dining at a Table-Service location in EPCOT that day, see if you can book a
DISNEY ON BROADWAY Concert Series Dining Package. That will include your delicious meal plus great guaranteed seating at the concert. Also throughout the park, you'll find limited-time
Food Studios serving small plates of both savory and sweet treats as well as specialty beverages.
While wandering from your new favorite Food Studio to the next, you might need to pick up some gorgeous artwork, some of which is offered by the artist in person! I'm a theater nerd, so I'll be sure to visit Once Upon A Stage: The Magic of DISNEY ON BROADWAY which is located at CommuniCore Hall. Guests can also learn how to draw a Disney character by stopping by America Gardens Theatre when an animator is scheduled to lead a lesson at Animator Academy. Current times are both 12:30 and 1:30, but this is subject to change, so check back prior to arrival.
