Hi Marcus,
Welcome to planDisney!
Let the happiness begin! Planning a trip to the Walt Disney World Resort brings on the joy in my house. There definitely are
Cast Members available to speak by phone to help you plan your visit. Prior to calling, I do suggest that you take some time to review possibilities. Take a look at the
Disney Resorts Collection to see which resort hotels might appeal to you. Consider the transportation and dining options at each resort hotel as well as the other amenities. My family loves Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa and Disney's Contemporary Resort because both are within walking distance to Magic Kingdom. We also adore Disney's Polynesian Village Resort. The grounds are simply gorgeous. When I did a girls' trip with my girls one year, we also stayed at Disney's All-Star Movies Resort and had a fabulous time.
Consider the type of theme park tickets that might work best for you. My family has done the standard
1 Park Per Day Tickets and
Tickets with the Park Hopper® Option. Either type of ticket works for us although when our girls were younger, the standard 1 Park Per Day Ticket was just fine. It was not until our girls were older that we started regularly park hopping. Also, decide how many days you plan to visit the theme parks. I suggest at least four full days so that you can visit each park at least once.
Review the
Enchanting Extras Collection to see if there are any additional experiences you would like to do on your trip. If you have any young Jedi traveling with you, be sure to make a reservation at Savi's Workshop. With travelers heading to Batuu from across the galaxy, these reservations are in high demand, so note the
booking window and book as early as possible. Once you have an idea of which resort hotel and the type of theme park tickets, do some comparison pricing with
vacation packages online before you call.
Marcus, I remember planning our first Disney vacation with our girls when they were 5-years old. It was as exciting as it was daunting. Thankfully, I made
advanced dining reservations for dinner each day on that first trip. Now, we make dining reservations for most meals and occasionally use
Mobile Food & Beverage Ordering.
Happy Planning!
Magic and memories,
Donyell
