Hi Team, hoping to stay at Art of Animation in October 2022 ( in Little Mermaid Standard Suite, 2 Queen beds) but no availability online. When can we expect bookings to open for these suites? Thanks!

Hiya Robbie - welcome to planDisney!

Thanks so much for stopping by with your question for our team of panelists. We love to help Guests just like you plan magical Walt Disney World Resort vacations! I'm so excited to hEAR that your crew is planning an upcoming trip. You'll be visiting during the Walt Disney World 50th Anniversary Celebration with exciting new attractions, entertainment, food, and SO much more - you're going to have a magical time!

Booking for Disney Resort rooms and Vacation Packages is fully open for dates in October 2022. This means that any lack of availability you may be seeing is due to this particular room type being completely booked for the dates and/or Special Offers you are searching for. If staying in a Little Mermaid Standard Room at Disney's Art of Animation Resort is your priority, all is not lost! Other Guests' plans change all the time, and it is always possible that availability may change in the future.

It may simply be the case that this room type is only unavailable for specific nights during the date range you are searching for, which would then prompt the system to show it as unavailable to book for the range you searched for. You can play around with the date ranges in your search to try and figure out if this is the case, or can call and speak to a Reservations Cast Member who can assist.

If you do find availability, you might think about whether a so-called "split-stay" might be a good option for your crew. For example, you could stay at Art of Animation for several days, and then transfer to another Resort for the remainder of your trip! This is a great option that both opens up some booking flexibility for you to have the experience you want in a Little Mermaid room, while also getting to experience a completely different Resort as well! The best part is that Bell Services can actually handle transferring your luggage from one Resort to the other while you're enjoying some time in the Theme Parks!

If you're looking for similar amenities, I suggest also checking out Disney's Pop Century Resort. It shares the Hourglass Lake Disney Skyliner Station with Art of Animation, meaning it's easy to walk between and explore both Resorts, and the rooms were recently updated with fresh decor, amenities, and technology!

I hope this information is helpful as you continue your planning journey - please let me know if you have any follow-up questions moving forward!
