Ahoy, Laura!
Welcome back to planDisney! I hope your August sailing on the Disney Magic was, well, magical! This time, it looks like you’re getting ready for some Halloween on the High Seas fun aboard the Disney Treasure, and you’ve really gone all-in on the Disney magic with ground transfers and a post-cruise stay at Walt Disney World. Talk about keeping the adventure going after the ship pulls into port!
At this point, you’re becoming a planDisney pro, so you already know Disney sometimes likes to switch things up from time to time. I recommend checking the debarkation information you receive during your sailing for the final details, but for planning purposes, I would expect your transfer to drop you off near the Great Ceremonial House, rather than directly at the Island Tower. The
Island Tower at Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows doesn’t have quite the same space out front to accommodate the larger buses.
From there, it’s a short walk over to the Island Tower. After several days sailing the Caribbean, I’d say strolling past palm trees on your way to your next Disney destination is a pretty nice way to ease back onto dry land. You’ll basically be trading Captain Minnie’s sea legs for a little Moana island time!
When that dreaded debarkation morning arrives, you’ll leave the ship as usual, collect your luggage, and make your way through U.S. Customs. Once outside, keep an eye out for the signs and friendly Cast Members directing Guests toward the buses. They’ll help make sure you and your luggage end up on the correct transfer, because after
a Halloween cruise aboard the Treasure, the last plot twist you need is accidentally sending your vacation to the airport when you’re supposed to be headed to the Polynesian!
I hope this helps you picture how that transition from ship to resort should work and takes one more transportation question off your list. Going from Halloween on the High Seas to palm trees at the Polynesian sounds like a pretty fantastic sequel to
your Disney Treasure adventure!
Sea ya real soon with boo-tiful nights and frightfully fun days,
Dustin
