Greetings, Renee! It's always a pleasure to welcome a royal Guest to planDisney and I'm so glad you found us. You came to the right place for all the latest and greatest information on dining with royalty at
Walt Disney World Resort!
Renee, two of my favorite topics are Disney Princesses and tea--both drinking it and spilling it. I have two girls and I think between the two of them they managed to accumulate every available princess costume between Halloween and Disney trips! Although they're a little past prime princess age nowadays, we still love to enjoy a
Character Dining experience whenever we visit The Most Magical Place on Earth.
One of my all-time favorite Walt Disney World experiences with my little princesses was the Perfectly Princess Tea, held at
Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. Unfortunately, this charming experience has not returned at this time. But don't fret! There are several other opportunities to spend some time in the presence of royalty throughout the parks and the
Resort Hotels.
Another family favorite,
1900 Park Fare, recently reopened at the Grand Floridian--this is a great spot to meet characters and enjoy a delicious buffet breakfast or dinner (the strawberry soup is out of this world!). If you visited this spot previously, it's good to know that the lineup of characters has changed. Currently, you can expect to see Cinderella, Tiana, Aladdin, and Mirabel, although this may change from time to time.
In
Magic Kingdom Park, you can enjoy breakfast, lunch, or dinner at
Cinderella's Royal Table. Everyone should dine in Cinderella Castle at least once! Guests get to meet Cinderella and several of her princess pals, who circulate through the restaurant and offer plenty of opportunities for photos and autographs.
At
EPCOT,
Akershus Royal Banquet Hall in the Norway Pavilion features some unique Norwegian specialties and memorable encounters with several princesses. If you check the daily park schedule, many princesses and other beloved characters like Mary Poppins and Alice make appearances in World Showcase throughout the day. When our girls were little, we liked to spend a leisurely afternoon snacking around the world and catching up with the princesses--the characters are typically outdoors and it feels a bit more relaxed.
My last royal recommendation is located at
Disney's Wilderness Lodge.
Story Book Dining at Artist Point with Snow White is a lovely, relaxed dinner during which Guests get to spend some quality time with The Fairest of Them All and her pals Dopey and Grumpy. I love the setting at Artist Point--you will feel like you just stepped into the Enchanted Forest!
Renee, I hope one of these options is just right for your upcoming trip to Walt Disney World! If I can help with any other suggestions--princesses or otherwise--please don't hesitate to reach out directly. Thanks so much for visiting planDisney!
Stay Magical!
Susan
