Hey there Paulette and welcome back to planDisney!
I see that you're definitely a planner after my own heart. I don't care where I'm traveling, food is always number one on the agenda. Since we've already discussed all of my favorite ice cream spots, I'm happy to tell you all about the
EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival and my favorite eats and treats from this year.
On my most recent visit to the Walt Disney World Resort, I called
Disney's Beach Club Resort my home away from home which means
EPCOT was only a short stroll away (and my goodness did I stroll). While I ate and drank more than my fair share of flavorful snacks and cocktails, the one that kept me coming back was the "Le Cellier" wild mushroom beef filet mignon with truffle butter sauce. Don't tell my goddaughter but I definitely went back without her to get one so I wouldn't have to share it. A close second would be the spanakopita from Greece. My goddaughter definitely didn't have any objections to eating vegetables in that particular format.
Pro-tip: While this festival is a favorite of mine, by the time your arrival date rolls around in February, you'll actually get to experience the
EPCOT International Festival of the Arts. This one runs from January 13th to February 20th this year. Be sure to keep an eye on the
Disney Parks Blog for news on what
Culinary Arts the chefs will be cooking up.
Paulette, I sure hope I've been able to help you eat, drink, and be merry at The Most Magical Place on Earth. If you have any other questions, you can always
come back for another chat!Happy planning!
