Hi Taylor, My family of about 40 is planning on coming to Disney the week of Thanksgiving 2023. Our plan is to stay on property but our issue is transportation. Once there, can we reserve a bus to and from the parks in order for us to travel together?

Hey there Paulette and welcome back to planDisney!

If this is a different trip from the one you're planning with the class of '81 then my goodness you are a busy lady! 40 people traveling to the Walt Disney World Resort is no small feat. But we've got your back and will walk with you through the process. Firstly you'll probably need to get in contact with the Cast Members over at Group Reservations. They cover reservations that require at least 10 rooms so they'll be able to help you get sorted out. Now let's talk about Disney Transportation and how to shuttle your party around for maximum magic!

One of my favorite things about staying in a Disney Resorts Collection hotel is never having to worry about driving. Since I usually stay within "the bubble" once I arrive on the property, I take full advantage of Disney Transportation. Each hotel has its own mode or modes of transportation such as busses, water taxis, the monorail, or the Disney Skyliner available for Guests to get to the theme parks or Disney Springs. While there's no way to specifically reserve one of these options specifically for your family alone, you could always set a time to meet in the lobby and head down to the transportation options together. They run pretty frequently and are waiting to take you to your destination. As many of you as possible can board your waiting chariot of choice. If you can't all get on together don't worry, just wait on the next one. The next one will reappear shortly to take the rest of your party to your chosen location.

Paulette, y'all are going to have a wonderful time together. A bit of advice from a girl that usually plans big family occasions. Don't be afraid to break off from the group a bit and do what you want to do. My upcoming family vacation involves activities with the whole party like our big family Magic Kingdom Park scavenger hunt. But there's also some carefully crafted time solo or in pairs like my quiet dinner at Jiko - The Cooking Place. Thanks for chatting with me and if you have any other questions, you know where to find me!

    Happy planning!
