Are taxis available at any time to take guests from resort hotels to anywhere in the park in the event we get tired of waiting for buses with our 1 year old and 4 year old.....will likely either stay at Beach Club or Grand Floridian or Animal King. in Sept

Taxis are available from the resort hotels to the parks. They are a great mode of transportation when you want to save time and ride in a quiet cab.

Mears Transportation is the official taxi service provider for Walt Disney World.

    Tips:
Ask the estimated fare before you choose a cab. Mears operates yellow cabs that are metered. Budget for a tip as well.
Call Bell Services and have the cab waiting for you when you depart the hotel.
To call the Mears Taxicab dispatcher, use (407) 699-9999.
Getting fro Point A to Point B around WDW will cost about $15-20.

Just remember that when utilizing a taxi to and/from the Magic Kingdom that you will be dropped off at the Transportation and Ticket Center rather than the Magic Kingdom entrance. To save time, use the Contemporary Resort as your pick up and drop off location. From there, you can walk to the Magic Kingdom!

From the Beach Club you can easily walk or boat to Epcot and Hollywood Studios.
From the Grand Floridian, monorail to the Magic Kingdom and Epcot.
From the Animal Kingdom Lodge, the bus ride to the Animal Kingdom is very short.

If you are planning on spending most of your time at the Magic Kingdom, the Grand Floridian would be ideal. It also offers a water launch to and from the Magic Kingdom park. We love this resort for its easy acces to the Magic Kingdom!
