Hi there, Lori! Thanks for stopping back to planDisney with this great question!
I'm excited that you are planning a visit to the
Walt Disney World Resort later this year. While Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party has not been announced just yet for 2025, I highly anticipate that it will be at some point this year. Since there has not been an announcement, prices have not been released as well.
With that said, I can provide the current tax rate that is charged when you buy park tickets. This will help you estimate what the charge may be when planning your trip. The current tax rate is 6.5% when purchasing tickets through the Walt Disney World website. Of course, this rate is subject to change at any time. I suggest visiting the Florida Department of Revenue website for the most up-to-date information on the current tax rate.
I have the fondest memories from
Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party a few years ago. My daughter's favorite movie is The Nightmare Before Christmas and meeting Jack and Sally was at the top of her priority list. Not only did we get the chance to do so, the character interaction with them was truly one-of-a-kind. They lived up to every expectation that she had and we have the best
Disney PhotoPass photos from the interaction. Typically, you'll find many unique character experiences during special events that you will not find at any other time.
Lori, I hope this information helps your friend plan for their upcoming stay. If they are looking for additional tax information, my fellow
planDisney panelist friend, Jenna, talked about tax rates once onsite at Walt Disney World in an answer to a question last year. This may help provide additional insight for your friend's accountant.
Happy planning!
Greg
