Hi Robert!
How exciting for you to be planning your first overseas holiday for your family to Walt Disney World. It is truly a magical vacation destination.
Walt Disney World is a place where lights take priority. Whether it is walking around your resort at night or in the parks you will find thousands of twinkling lights to guide your way or to make that magical moment. The
Saratoga Springs Resort is a very large resort located near
Disney Springs. There are many walkways that lead from one area of the resort to the next as well as walkways that lead to the Disney Springs area. All of these will be well lit. Disney Springs in itself is a nighttime wonder with all of the buildings lit up and making it look so magical. I know I use that word a lot but Disney at night is truly a sight to behold.
The Magic Kingdom at night again is a must on everyone's list when they come to Walt Disney World for a vacation. Seeing the surrounding lights of the resorts nearby is beautiful but the park itself is special with the well lit castle being the primary focus. My favorite castle shot is during the Christmas holidays when it is covered with millions of small lights.
Another park that is a must for night time experiences is the Animal Kingdom. This is fairly recent that this park has opened up for the evening hours but with the addition of the new Pandora-the World of Avatar it is definitely something to experience. Epcot has their night time show each night at 9pm and it is called Illuminations. This is my favorite night fireworks show of all four parks. Hollywood Studios will host special shows at night during certain times of the year. Disney certainly stays lit all night!
