I want to use my Target Red card to buy Disney Gift Cards to pay for my trip. However, Target's cards only reach $500 dollars and a price of a room exceeds that. Do I need to purchase a 1,000 gift card to transfer to or can I just put 1,000 on the $500

Hey there, Ashley, and welcome to planDisney! Thanks for stopping by the panel with your question. It’s exciting to have you here planning out your upcoming Walt Disney World Vacation! I will have to contain my excitement because if my wife hears the words Target or Disney, I will be out of some money!

Ashley, Disney Gift Cards are a fantastic way to plan and budget for upcoming Walt Disney World Vacations. We’ve even started using Disney Gift Cards as a way for family and friends to get involved in the Disney Vacation planning and paying process! As you’ve probably noticed, only one Disney Gift Card can be applied to your cart during the checkout process. The great news is that you can consolidate multiple Gift Card balances into a single Gift Card online at DisneyGiftCard.com. With this in mind, I suggest purchasing two of the $500 Disney Gift Cards and combining the balances online. Keep in mind that you can only consolidate $1,000 worth of funds onto a Disney Gift Card online. If your cart balance still exceeds the allowed Disney Gift Card limit, you can reach out to a reservations Cast Member for further assistance. They may be able to apply multiple Gift Cards to your balance over the phone! You never know; they may be able to work some magic just for you!

I hope this helps, Ashley! If you have more questions while planning your Disney Vacation, stop back by and let me know

You’ve got a friend in me,
