Do you still have to “tap in” at your first Park reservation before Park Hopping to a second park

Hi there, Anya! Welcome to planDisney! Whether this is your first visit to the Walt Disney World Resort or you're a seasoned Disney-goer, planning an upcoming adventure is always something to look forward to. Since you're asking about Park Hopping, it sounds like you're ready to take on all the excitement Disney World has to offer! Imagine starting your day with a thrilling ride on Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance at Disney's Hollywood Studios and later unwinding with the nighttime spectacular Happily Ever After at Magic Kingdom. The possibilities are endless when it comes to hopping between parks!

If your ticket requires a theme park reservation, you'll need to "tap in" to the park where you hold your reservation before heading to your next park. Alternatively, if your plans change and you'd prefer to begin your day at a different park, you can modify your reservation in the My Disney Experience app (subject to availability). Keep in mind that Annual Passholders have a slightly different set of rules. Depending on their pass type, they may not need a reservation on good-to-go days or after 2:00 PM, except for Magic Kingdom on Saturdays and Sundays, where a reservation is still required. Be sure to check the fine print on your pass for specifics!

When it comes to Park Hopping, my favorite strategy is to start the day bright and early at Disney's Hollywood Studios, EPCOT, or Disney's Animal Kingdom to take advantage of Early Theme Park Entry, a fantastic perk for guests staying in a Disney Resorts Collection hotel. After enjoying some of the morning's top attractions, consider a midday break to recharge by the pool. Then, head to Magic Kingdom in the evening or hop to a park offering Extended Evening Theme Park Hours. This approach lets you soak in the best of both worlds: daytime thrills and nighttime magic!

I hope this helps answer your question, Anya! If you have any more questions as you plan your visit, please don't hesitate to send them my way. I'm here to help you make the most of your Disney days!

    See you real soon!
