Hi Tanya! Going to WDW for the 2nd time the week of 11/28/10 with DH, DS (9) & DD (6). In 2008 stayed at POFQ and loved it. Can't decide to stay at POFQ again or try AK (standard) or WL? Concerned about bussing. Where would you stay? Thanks!

    Hi there Dana,

Thanks for writing!  Port Orleans is, indeed, a wonderful place to call home while on your Disney vacation.  I stayed at Port Orleans in March, and had a fabulous time.  I am, however, a big fan of experiencing as many Disney resorts as possible, as each is uniquely themed and has its own charm.  If you are able to stay at either Animal Kingdom Lodge or Wilderness Lodge, I would absolutely recommend it.  Animal Kingdom Lodge is a magnificent property, which offers guests unprecedented access to exotic African wildlife.  The lobby is filled with dark woods and marvelous music that makes you feel as though you are on safari.  There are several fabulous restaurants on property, including Jiko, which is my favorite signature venue at Disney.  Wilderness Lodge has, what many argue, is the most beautiful lobby on property.  The Lodge is themed after some of our Nation's most magnificent National Parks, and even has a "Disney version" of Old Faithful Geyser.  I just had a wonderful meal at Artist Point during my most recent trip, and my family has had many great dinners at Whispering Canyons Cafe.

Wilderness Lodge is a short boat ride away from the Magic Kingdom, making this a great choice if you plan to spend a lot of time at this park.  Animal Kingdom Lodge offers bus transportation to and from all of the theme parks.  While Animal Kingdom is a bit further from some of the parks, I have always found transportation from this location to be convenient and reliable.  Either would make a great choice for your second trip.

    Have a magical repeat visit!
