    Hi there Tina!

Thanks so much for writing.  Many families with kids on the spectrum report that Walt Disney World is an incredibly "user-friendly" destination for their special kids.  I'm proud to say that I'm one of them!  You won't need a doctor's note to obtain a Guest Assistance Card for your son.  Simply go to Guest Relations at whichever theme park you visit first (at Magic Kingdom, Guest Relations is located inside City Hall, which will be on your left as you enter the park).  Explain your sons needs to the cast member who assists you (saying that he has Autism and has difficulty waiting on lines is perfect) and you'll receive a card that will enable your little pirate and up to five people in your party access attractions via an alternate entrance.  The card won't eliminate your wait times, but it will greatly reduce them, and is sure to help make your trip extra magical.

Have a wonderful vacation.  Feel free to write back with any other questions or for more special needs tips!
