Hi Tanya! Noticed you were staying at Kidani Village in August and would love to hear any tips/thoughts about the new location. We're taking my parents (both 67) and really want to spoil them this trip. Suggestions?? Thank you!

    Hi Dawn!

Thanks so much for writing!  I recently returned from my most recent Disney adventure, which included five nights in a one-bedroom villa at Kidani Village.  To say I was impressed is an understatement!  You wont have to do much to spoil your parents.  Simply walking into the magnificent lobby should do the trick!  In fact, my parents stayed with us for part of our trip, and quickly "bumped" Kidani to the top of their Disney Vacation Club favorites list!

The villas are gorgeous, with rich, dark wood furniture and colorful bedding.  The one-bedroom villas have two full baths, one with a sunken tub that is heaven after a day in the parks!  The pool area is amazing (it's actually a small waterpark).  It has a zero-entry area, a wonderful restaurant/bar (Maji pool bar) and is very well-themed.  Sanaa is Kidani's outstanding table-service restaurant that overlooks the savanna.  It serves African cuisine with Indian flavors.  The tandoori chicken and sustainable fish are delicious!  While we were eating, a gorgeous bird came right up to the window beside our table and tried to share our dinner!  By staying at Kidani, you will also be able to easily access the restaurants at Jambo House, including Boma, for an exciting all-you-care-to-eat, African-inspired buffet and Jiko, which is one of my absolute favorite signature dining venues at Disney.  Treating your parents to dinner at any of these restaurants is a wonderful treat.

For something even more special, you might consider an in-room celebration for your parents.  The folks at can help you deliver anything from a simple floral arrangement, to an elaborate, romantic spread for them to enjoy.  I recently experienced "From Mickey and Minnie with Love" and was in heaven!

We are greatly looking forward to our next stay at Kidani, and I suspect your family will have a magical experience as well!
