Hi Tanya! Don't know what I'd do without this amazing panel! Considering POFQ for next trip-Are there elevators in each of the bldgs? 1 member in our party can't use the stairs. And how would you compare the size/layout of POFQ to Poly? Thanks!

    Hi Sabrina,

Thanks for the compliment!  We love our roles spreading Pixie Dust.  Port Orleans French Quarter is a great choice if you are interested in a smaller moderate resort that's easy to navigate.  In my opinion, based on the resort's size (approximately 1,000 rooms) there is no "bad" building location.  There are elevators to the upper floors, but you could certainly request a ground floor room if that would make everyone in your party more comfortable.  POFQ is romantic and whimsical and a wonderful place to call home while on your Walt Disney World Vacation.  All of the rooms were just refurbished (in 2011), so you will enjoy wonderful, newly freshened accommodations.  As you probably know, the resort has a New Orleans/Mardi Gras theme, complete with huge masks.  You should be aware that there is no table-service (sit-down) restaurant at POFQ.  However, you can head over to Port Orleans Riverside if for a great meal at Boatwright's.  There is a quick-service eatery onsite at French Quarter

The Polynesian has approximately 850 rooms and is not much smaller than POFQ in terms of capacity.  I would say that the two resorts are relatively similar in terms of navigating around.  The Polynesian has several dining options and is a luxury resort, so you will find more in terms of amenities, restaurants and a better-themed pool.

I think Port Orleans French Quarter is a great choice for your trip.

    Have a magical trip!
