Hi, Kimberly! You're as welcome as can be here at planDisney! Since our panelists are frequent Disney Parks guests, we benefit from making a few mistakes during our vacations but learning lots of lessons along the way. I love sharing my knowledge with anyone who will listen. I sincerely wish I could give you a call, but instead, I'll share my "Walt Disney World 101" strategies here.
March is a lovely time to visit, due to the
practically perfect temperatures (don't forget the swimsuits). It also marks the start of the
EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival and the return of the fan-favorite
Festival of Fantasy Parade in Magic Kingdom Park. If you haven't done so,
link your theme park tickets to your My Disney Experience account, and then make your
Park Pass Reservations. As of this writing, the
Theme Park Availability calendar for March looks as green as a four-leaf clover!
The next thing you'll want to familiarize yourself with is
Disney Genie+ service, which is built into the
My Disney Experience mobile app. Offered at more than 40 attractions and experiences, it can
grant you a number of wishes if you choose to purchase it, including the ability to skip the Standby line. You may make one selection at a time, starting at 7:00 AM on the day of your visit. If your theme park ticket includes the Park Hopper Option, you can select Lightning Lane arrival windows across multiple theme parks after 2 PM each day. The
Disney Parks YouTube channel has an overview with some questions and answers from planDisney panelists. I feel you get the most bang for your buck using Genie+ at Magic Kingdom Park and Disney's Hollywood Studios.
Another thing I like to do before my trip is to watch ride-through videos of attractions, such as
Remy's Ratatouille Adventure. I also google restaurant reviews for some of the dining locations I'm considering to help me decide whether or not my picky Mouseketeers will enjoy it. The planDisney Instagram page is another good resource for Walt Disney World Resort hotels. I love the Pocket Guides posts and the walk-through room videos that sometimes appear in the Stories section.
If you still feel that you'd like to speak to someone over the phone (especially about technical or My Disney Experience issues), you can talk with a Cast Member at (407) 939-4357. The phone lines get very busy, so wait times are lower if you call right when they open at 7 AM EST.
I hope this helps a little, Kimberly. If you have any specific questions regarding your trip, I encourage you to send them to us. We want you to have the most magical time ever!
