Hiya Maria!
Welcome to planDisney, and thank you for sending us this magical question. Wow, Maria, what a special occasion you are planning for your daughter! I just celebrated my birthday at the Walt Disney World Resort last week, and I am afraid it might have to be a new tradition. As Rapunzel would say, that's the funny thing about birthdays: they're kind of an annual thing!
There are a few things you can do to make your vacation extra magical for your daughter. You can speak to a concierge Cast Member upon arrival at your
Disney Resort, but you will also have an occasion to include this special occasion while booking your reservation. However, if you need extra help, you can also contact the
Disney Floral & Gifts department to speak to a Dream Maker. They will be more than happy to assist you in picking the best options for you and your daughter!
Now, Disney offers a few services to celebrate birthdays at the most magical place on Earth! First, a must-do, in my opinion, is to pick up a free "Happy Birthday" button at your Resort's front desk, at a souvenir shop, or a Guest Relation location. You can even have your button personalized at
Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe for a small fee, which makes a very special souvenir! Second, if you have any planned
dining reservations, let your server know that you are celebrating a birthday, as they usually have complimentary celebratory treats. However, if you would like to make the meal extra special, you can also order a
Mickey Mouse Celebration Cake at the restaurant's podium.
I hope this was helpful, and that you and your daughter will have the best day ever on your next Disney trip. If you have any other questions in the time leading up to your trip, please don't hesitate to reach back out! You're as welcome as can be, and it is an honour to get to help you plan such a special day.
Have a magical day,
Ariane
