Hi there, Samantha! Thanks so much for sailing on over to planDisney - so glad you found us. I'm always happy to lend a helping hand to a fellow Jersey girl, and I can share what we know currently about
Disney Cruise Line sailings from the Northeast.
Up until a few years ago, DCL did have several cruise itineraries that departed from the Manhattan Cruise Terminal. Cruise lines contract with the terminal directly, and it does not appear that there any scheduled sailings from New York or New Jersey. I agree, it would be amazing to have some cruises originating in that part of the world - hopefully they will return soon. If you would like to share that feedback with the DCL team, you can
send an email anytime!
Having made the drive from New Jersey to Florida, I know that it's a long haul! If flying is an option for your family, I recommend checking airfares out of Trenton and Atlantic City, as we have at times gotten really good pricing leaving from those smaller airports. On the arrival front, several of my planDisney pals suggest investigating options coming into Orlando Sanford International Airport. It's about an hour away from Port Canaveral, and there is a shuttle that runs from the airport to the cruise terminals at the port.
Samantha, I'm sorry I don't have more specifics for your ideal DCL itinerary, but I hope that you'll be setting sail on another unforgettable cruise in the not-too-distant future. Our planDisney crew is always here to help with any questions to make your Disney adventures as magical as can be - please come see us again soon!
Happy Sailing!
Susan
