Hello Jennifer,
Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I know you must be so excited for your son's first trip to the Walt Disney World Resort and, with so much to see and do, I completely understand why you are feeling a little overwhelmed with planning. It's nearly impossible to fit everything in during one visit so picking a few "must-do's" and then letting the rest fall into place is the best plan. The first thing I would recommend is to purchase
Park Hopper Option tickets. They are worth any additional cost, especially when you have young children in your party. It's great to have the flexibility to start your day at one Theme Park, head back to your Resort for a nap or pool time, and then end the day at any other Park you wish to.
My suggestion for your visit would be to give yourself two days at
Magic Kingdom Park (I have found Tuesdays and Wednesdays to be less crowded there) and one day each for
Epcot,
Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park, and
Disney's Hollywood Studios. You will also want to set aside some time to relax and enjoy your Resort Hotel.
Be sure to pick up your "1st Visit"
Celebration Recognition Button when you check in at your Resort Hotel, or you can get one at Guest Service in any of the Theme Parks. It's a great way to let Cast Members and Guests know that you are there celebrating this special trip!!
Magical Wishes,
Susan
