Taking my 5 yr son to WDW again. Last year we did The Pirates League- this year we are staying at CBR, going on the Caribbean Pirate Adventure & Pirates & Pals Firework Voyage. Anything else pirate other than the Pirates of Caribbean stuff in MK?

Arrrr - so it be a pirate's life you seek Valerie?

Your son will love Disney's Pirate Adventure & you'll all love the Pirates & Pals Fireworks Voyage. There are pirate themed rooms available at the CBR that are way cool!

In addition to the Pirates of the Caribbean ride & The Pirates League at Magic Kingdom (MK) be sure to check out Captain Jack Sparrow's Pirate Tutorial. It takes place across from the Pirates of the Caribbean ride in Adventureland at the MK.  A few times a day, Captain Jack comes out with his first mate Mack. They do a little comic routine & then recruit aspiring young pirates to join his crew. The kids take the Pirate Oath & Captain Jack teaches them how to be rescued from a desert island by using a swordplay trick to escape the enemy.

Captain Jack typically chooses 4 - 5 kids a session to join his crew. Kids are randomly chosen. Every time I've seen this it seems the kids are very near the rope they lay out to create a barrier for the stage are more often chosen. I'd try arriving early & being near the front. If your son has a pirate bandanna or some sort of pirate gear he can wear, that may help him stand out. Kids that seem excited & have personality are often chosen. No guarantees but it doesn't hurt to try & stand out.

The Pirate Tutorial takes place several times a day. The times will be listed on your Times Guide that you can pick up as you the park. Keep in mind that schedules are always subject to change without notice for many reasons.

Pirate fans can also now meet & greet Angelica from the new Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides movie.  Look for her in Adventureland near the Pirates of the Caribbean ride.  Other than these things, I think you've about covered the pirate attractions at WDW.

Wishing you many magical pirate filled memories :-) Allison
