We're taking our 7 & 4 yr olds to Disney World in Dec and I've never been (they have been w/ my in-laws b4). I'm totally overwhelmed and have no idea where to start planning. We have our hotel but the park is so huge & I want to maximize our time

    Hi Erica,

I have found when it comes to planning that the website www.touringplans.com is a hidden treasure.  It offers over 100 researched itineraries so the planning is done for you to help you make the most of your day and save time by cutting down your time in lines. While it does have a nominal fee, I think it is a worthwhile investment.

Have you made dining reservations?  While you will have plenty of counter service restaurants to choose from, you may also want some table service options as well as character dining experience (the characters come to you rather than waiting in line to see them!).  To explore various dining options, you can click here.  You may also want to visit www.disneyfoodblog.com for detailed information about Disney dining.  Menus can be found at the above link or at www.allearsnet.com (pull down the Walt Disney World menu and click on Dining). You can make reservations through the above link or by calling 407-WDW-DINE.

I hope this helps to get you started with your planning. Please don't hesitate to ask many more questions; we are glad to help!  And enjoy your trip; December is pure magic at WDW!!
