Jillian from OH Asked Note: This answer was provided prior to the change to planDisney and may still contain references to Disney Parks Moms Panel.

We're taking our 4 yr old son to Disney. Some of the guide books show age restrictions for attractions, as well as height restrictions. Which do we follow and how accurate are they? Ex. Is Maelstrom really 5 and up only? Pirates of the Carribean? Etc?

Hello, Jillian!  Welcome to the Moms Panel!

You will definitely want to follow the height and age requirements that can be found on the official Walt Disney World web page.  You can check this information by visiting "ATTRACTIONS" for each park.  Once you click on a certain attraction, you will find the age and height requirements off to the left-hand side.

Thank you so much for visiting the Moms Panel.  Please join us again real soon should any new questions or concerns pop-up.  We are always ready to help our guests plan the vacation of a lifetime.  May your upcoming Walt Disney World vacation be filled with many new and MAGICAL memories!
