I will be taking my 11 yr old nephew to disney for his first visit in a couple of weeks. Which rides do not allow carryi ons (like backpacks) and do they have cubbies to store them in while you ride. Thanks, cant wait for our trip.

    Hi Darlene,

Thanks for for your question. I can't think of a single Walt Disney World ride that doesn't allow you to take your backpack or personal belongings with you while you participate in the attraction. On each one, you will find a storage compartment or, if it is too big for the pocket, you can place your bag on the floor at your feet -- even on Rock 'n' Roller Coaster at Hollywood Studios, which goes upside down.

One note: Kali River Rapids at Animal Kingdom provides free locker rental to store bags while you ride. You and all your things are sure to get wet or even soaked, so the lockers are a good idea. (I am a wimp and wear my rain poncho when I ride. You will see lots of other people doing that as well.)

I hope that helps. Please let me know if I can answer any other questions for you as you plan your visit. Enjoy your time with your nephew!
