We are taking our 5yr old grandson to WDW on 11/12/11 and have the free quick svc din plan for 6 nts. I am on Weight Watchers and would like to know if there are any ideas on how to keep on my points plus system?

    Hi, Dorothy!

While there is no official guide to the Weight Watchers system at Walt Disney World, it is reasonably easy to eat healthfully and get your Activity Points in, too.

Every restaurant and quick service location offers a variety of healthy options, and you are always free to modify a menu item to your liking. In fact, if you have particular dietary concerns or needs (e.g., low sodium, low fat, etc.), you may ask to speak directly with the chef, who will work with you to design the perfect meal for your Points and your palate.

There are fresh fruit kiosks all over the Parks and Resorts, and any number of healthy packaged snacks available for purchase.

Don't forget that you'll be doing a great deal of walking. You might even want to invest in a small pedometer to see for yourself how many steps you are taking in one day!

Deluxe and Moderate Resorts offer gorgeous fitness centers, loaded with cardio machines and weight-training equipment. And if you haven't walked enough in the Parks, take the time to explore one of the many beautiful trails around the Resort areas, perfect for walking, biking, or running.

If it were a little warmer, I would suggest some laps in your Resort pool, each one heated year-round, but it might be a bit too chilly for that.

In any case, I think you find it surprisingly easy to stay on program while you are exploring the World.

    See you later, celebrator!
