    I am taking my 10 yr old grandson on the Nassau cruise. I want to book the Atlantis Dolphin Cay Deep Water Swim & Water adventure for him, but I don't necessarily want to swim with the dolphins -- I just want to accompany him. Can I do that?

    What a wonderful idea to take your grandson on such a special adventure!

    While you can definitely go as just an observer on some of the dolphin adventures, I'd like to encourage you to think about swimming too. One of my greatest memories is swimming with dolphins in the Bahamas.

    Since this particular adventure is limited to only six guests, I'm not certain how the observer program works, yet I've been told by DCL Mom Andi that it is an option. Please contact Disney Cruise Line for more info at (800) 951-3532.

    On this amazing shore excursion, you'll : 

    • Watch a video orientation and listen to a Marine Mammal Specialist.  
    • Race alongside dolphins, cruise along the surface, or dive to the depths of the saltwater lagoon on your hand-held scooter. Don't worry, you control your own speed!  
    • Use the snorkels and masks that are provided and yours to keep.  
    • Enjoy Dolphin Cay’s signature “foot push,” where dolphins propel you across the lagoon on a boogie board. Unforgettable! 
    • Learn about dolphins at the Interactive Learning Center.  
    • Take a self-guided tour at your leisure of the Ruins Lagoon, a re-creation of the sunken streets of mythical Atlantis, and The Dig, a replica of an archaeological excavation site. Beautiful!
