Taking a 7 yr old girl first Disney Trip and can’t decide on which resort. Want a room close to everything and on a budget but would consider a moderate resort. I appreciate your feedback as to my different options. Thanks for your help

My oldest daughter celebrated her seventh birthday at Walt Disney World during her very first trip, Tammy. That was years ago (she’s 26 now!) but I am really happy to help you narrow down your choices for this extra special stay!

Choosing a hotel from the Disney Resort Collection is my recommendation. Doing so would allow you and this lucky seven-year-old the chance to stay in the magic. Personally, I have to say that there are few things better than waking up to pixie dust; it beats sleepy dust any day, right? Given your desire for a budget-minded stay, I’d recommend Disney’s Art of Animation Resort. It packs a powerful punch for kids who love Disney Characters. Another really great perk of staying here is that it’s one of the resort hotels that offers quick and convenient access to Disney Skyliner. Imagine how the sweet girl’s face will light up when she catches a glimpse at the “chariot” that will deliver her to Disney’s Hollywood Studios or Epcot!

Another, slightly less economical option would be Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort. It, too, boasts Disney Skyliner access. This is the resort we stayed in for my daughter’s birthday trip all those years ago and we had an idyllic stay. If an amazing pool sways you at all, the Fuentes del Morro Pool at Disney’s Caribbean Resort deserves your attention. Kids of all ages can’t help but be impressed by this splashtastic feature.

Settling on a resort is a big decision, made just a touch difficult by all the great options. My planDisney panelist friends and I came up with some tips that may help you make up your mind. Check them out!

In any case, I am passing along my most sincere wishes for an extra magical trip. Have an unforgettable time!
