Hi Mayra, welcome to planDisney!
You are going to love staying at
Disney's Art of Animation Resort! You will have access to the
Disney Skyliner which makes the trip to Disney's Hollywood Studios and EPCOT relaxing and convenient!
Disney no longer uses the FastPass system. Instead,
Disney Genie+ Service and
Individual Lightning Lanes are available to Guests for an additional purchase. However, Disney does offer a
Disability Access Service, also known as DAS, for guests who have difficulty tolerating extended waits in the standard queue environment due to a disability.
Currently, there are two ways Guests can register for this service. The first is to register via live chat video between 2 and 30 days prior to the first park day of your vacation. If your grandson is under the age of 18, a parent or guardian will need to manage the live chat video and your grandson must be available to be introduced on the video call. A photo will be taken of him if he is approved to use DAS. Once Guests are pre-registered to use DAS, they will be able to select up to 2
DAS Advance Selections, subject to availability, at select attractions.
The second option is to register in person with a Cast Member at
Guest Relations on the day of their visit. The wait times for the pre-registration can be lengthy so please know in-person may be the better option depending on your grandson's schedule.
Mayra, I hope you have a magical vacation at Walt Disney World!
