I am taking my 4-year-old to WDW in early April (week after Easter) to see my son & his high school band march in Magic Kingdom. Parade is around 9:45 am. We'll use extra magic hour in AM. What rides/attractions/order are best to use w/fast pass?

    Hi Shelley,

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I presume there has been some happy dancing going on in your house as you prepare to visit the Walt Disney World Resort?

Given that you have a 4-year old, I suggest making Fast Pass+ selections for Peter Pan's Flight, The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh and "it's a small world." If your 4-year old is a princess fan, you may want to use one of those Fast Pass+ selections to visit Cinderella and Elena OR Rapunzel and Tiana in Princess Fairytale Hall. Since we normally do a character meal to see Cinderella, we typically visit with Rapunzel and Tiana in Princess Fairytale Hall. We have seen Cinderella at Cinderella's Royal Table (Magic Kingdom), Cinderella's Happily Ever After Dinner at 1900 Park Fare (Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa) and Princess Storybook Dining at Akershus Royal Banquet Hall (Epcot).

Be sure to check the entire attractions list for Magic Kingdom. Review the height requirements for each ride - on our first trip with our girls, one of them was just barely 40 inches tall. If your 4-year old is a thrill seeker, you may also try The Barnstormer, Astro Orbiter, and Pirates of the Caribbean. And, of course, no visit to Magic Kingdom would be complete without riding Dumbo The Flying Elephant and The Magic Carpets of Aladdin. Also consider making a dining reservation at The Crystal Palace - Winnie the Pooh and the gang are there. When our girls were just about that age, they loved EVERYTHING.

Shelley, I trust that your trip will be sprinkled with a little extra pixie dust for your 4-year old and that your son's high school band will perform beautifully!

Magic, memories and Minnie Mouse hugs,
