I will be taking my 6 year old to WDW in late January, and it will just be the two of us. I have been to WDW before, and just need some advice on travelling alone with my child. I am concerned about not having another adult in our party.

    Hi Robin,

How exciting that your trip is only a few weeks away!  I have travelled to Walt Disney World several times with my two boys (ages 5 and 7) alone, and we have shared some amazing experiences.  In my opinion, the parks are very manageable with children your child's age.  In fact, I'm betting you are going to have a wonderful time.  January is a great time of year to explore the theme parks, as crowds are generally moderate.  This should enable you to see and experience the things most important to you.  I would recommend creating a simple itinerary, with what parks you'd like to explore on which days, and making reservations at whichever table service restaurants you'd like to dine at.  I think a character meal would be a great addition to your itinerary.  Chef Mickey's, at the Contemporary Resort is one of my favorite spots to dine with my boys.  The restaurant is a short walk or monorail ride away from the Magic Kingdom, making it a great choice for a day you spend at this park.

Have a wonderful trip for two!
