Hi Kimberly!
Surprise trips to the Walt Disney World Resort - we have so much to plan! Since I also have twin girls, I am delighted to help you spread some magic! My girls and I took a girls' trip last December and stayed at Disney's All-Star Movies Resort. The room was perfect for us.
Get their autograph books ready! There are lots of different
character dining experiences they might enjoy. In Magic Kingdom, consider dining at Cinderella's Royal Table and The Crystal Palace (breakfast is our favorite). At Epcot, consider Akershus Royal Banquet Hall. If you plan to visit Disney's Animal Kingdom, Tusker House Restaurant is a blast and at Disney's Hollywood Studios, we often dine at Hollywood & Vine. Outside of the parks, we adore Chef Mickey's at Disney's Contemporary Resort, 1900 Park Fare at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, or Story Book Dining at Artist Point with Snow White. On our most recent trip in December, we dined at
Trattoria al Forno and had a delightful breakfast with Ariel, Prince Eric, Rapunzel and Flynn Rider. On the last morning of that trip, we joined Mickey and Minnie Mouse, Donald and Daisy Duck for quite the artistic breakfast experience at
Topolino's Terrace - Flavors of the Riviera. Be sure to check the menus and pricing at each restaurant as you make your decisions and keep in mind that you will need to make
advanced dining reservations. At this point prior to your trip, some restaurants may not show any availability, but keep checking. Guests do occasionally cancel!
If your girls are anything like mine, they easily shift between princess and Jedi life. I suggest making some time to see some of the
Disney Princesses at Walt Disney World Resort. Our girls love to tour the Kingdom of Arendelle on Frozen Ever After and then stop in to Meet Anna and Elsa at Royal Sommerhus. Afterwards, we head to Soarin' Around the World, Test Track, and Mission: SPACE. Since it sounds like this might be your first mission, I suggest the Green Mission on Mission: SPACE.
At Disney's Hollywood Studios, be sure to sign them up for Jedi Training - Trials of the Temple if you think they have the courage to defeat the Dark Side. If your girls are rebels like mine, we need them to join our Resistance Forces on
Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance. To join a boarding group, get to the park early to sign up on the
My Disney Experience Mobile App. Also, be sure to ride Star Tours: The Adventures Continue and, in Toy Story Land, take them to Slinky Dog Dash, Alien Swirling Saucers and Toy Story Mania! Finally, in Disney's Animal Kingdom, take flight on Avatar Flight of Passage.
Check the
Attractions List (filter by theme park instead of "All Parks & Resorts") to make sure your girls meet the height requirements for each attraction they may want to experience. Of course, bring those princess dresses if they prefer to dress like royalty while greeting princess friends. If you have not done so already, think about how you will unveil the surprise - I left clues around the house for the girls a week before our trip!
Kimberly, most of all, happy birthday to your girls!
Magic and memories,
Donyell
