Hi, Amy!
Celebrating a birthday at Walt Disney World is a magical way to have a special day for the. Here are some tips for you:
-Make your first stop of the day at Guest Services. Ask for your complimentary "Happy Birthday" buttons that you can each wear. You can both wear your buttons proudly all day long so everyone knows you are celebrating!
-Before leaving home, get a large birthday card. When meeting any of the Disney pals at
Meet and Greets, have them sign the birthday card in lieu of an autograph book. What a special keepsake!
-Bring your camera and capture special photos throughout the park. You may even want to plan ahead and make a sign saying "It's My 5th Birthday." (This does not have to be fancy, just a quick sign on a sheet of paper that you can bring in your tote bag.) Have him pose with the sign in front of
Cinderella Castle. That will be a fun picture to look back at when he is older.
-Stop by your local dollar store to bring along some surprises to enjoy in the parks like birthday hats or glow sticks. For just a few dollars, you can add some fun to your party day.
To save money on your visit, feel free to
bring along snacks, water bottles, or even a bag lunch and have a picnic! Cups of water are complimentary at counter service locations, and there are plenty of locations to relax to enjoy your treats. Try to avoid the gift shops which are tempting and can get pricey. During your stop at your dollar store, get a few small gifts that you can give your son throughout the day to keep him happy!
Wishing you both a magical birthday at Walt Disney World.
Cathy
