I am taking my 3 year old son to Disney soon. I have a friend who took their 6 year old last year. They had trouble taking him to attractions such as Indiana Jones because of an age restriction. I can't find anything about it online. Is there one?

Hi Derek! There are some attractions that have a height restriction but those are mostly the roller coaster rides in the parks.  There will also be signs warning parents of loud noises or scary things that might affect younger children but for the most part it is up to the parent what they feel is best for their child.

Please click HERE to reach the ATTRACTION main page for the parks.  On the left side you can see HEIGHT RESTRICTIONS and RECOMMENDED AGES. Click on each of these to see the filtered list of the attractions that provide the information that will help you plan your trip with your little guy.  I have taken my grandson who is now four for the last few years and there was so much for us to do together in the parks.  On his last trip he was finally tall enough to ride Soarin but he doesn't seem to care about doing all these "fast" attractions. He is just as happy sitting through the Small World ride at the Magic Kingdom or Imagination at EPCOT.

Also, he has been to both the Indiana Jones and the Stunt attraction at Hollywood Studios over the last couple years so I am not sure what happened where your friend was unable to attend with his six year old son. Perhaps he wanted to be chosen to participate in the show but I have never seen children selected. Please click HERE to read a great description.
