We are taking my 7 year old son on the Disney Dream this April to celebrate him being cancer-free for 5 years. Is there anything "extra special" that you can suggest we do on our trip for this remarkably joyous event?

    Hi, Sam!

Congratulations on such a wonderful occasion to celebrate! As a family who also commemorates life's moments as well as escapes life's struggles on Disney vacations, I think you are wise to benchmark this time in your lives in this way.

Disney's Dream is going to take your breath away, and a spring cruise is a great time to sail. Take a look at the Gifts and Amenities you can order to make your son's voyage extra special. You can arrange to have a surprise for him waiting in his stateroom or perhaps delivered to your table at dinner.

In addition, you can also arrange for a specific Port Adventure to make your vacation more adventurous or more relaxing -- depending on how you like to travel. My children love the Aquaventure at the Atlantis Resort in Nassau/Paradise Island, Bahamas, and they all were amazed by the stingrays on Castaway Cay.

Again, best wishes as you mark this chapter in your lives, and I wish you tremendous blessings on this trip and many, many more together. Have a wonderful day and a magical vacation. Bon voyage!
