We are taking our 4 & 5 year old and could really get some help on what is allowed, and what you would recommend for us to get. We tried umbrella strollers normally but they don't work so hot.

    Hi there, Heather!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!  It sounds like you have a very magical vacation coming up!  What memories you will make when visiting Walt Disney World Resort with your littles!  There is something extra special about experiencing Walt Disney World Resort magic alongside little ones and I know this will be a vacation you will remember forever!

My boys are thirteen short months apart so hopefully I can help guide you in the best gear to bring for your upcoming vacation to make it as easy for you as possible!  When my boys were smaller, we would often go ahead and bring our large double jogging stroller because we knew that our boys would be both comfortable in them and also that we could easily navigate our way through the theme parks and we liked the shade that they provided our boys when they were riding.  If you do not own one of these and prefer to not get one, you can either rent a stroller from the theme parks or rent a stroller from a local company that will deliver (and pick up) to you!

While we have often visited the theme parks with two umbrella strollers, I do understand that they are not always the easiest to navigate and not always the most comfortable for littles.  If your littles are anything like mine were when they were that age, they would often want to walk but gladly accepted a ride when their little legs tired out!  In those situations, we have been able to get away with having umbrella strollers with us and we would actually just “park them” near a ride and walk with our boys until they were ready for the stroller again.  So, I would just recommend thinking about how your littles would prefer to get around during the days at the theme parks!

Another recommendation that I would highly suggest is to make sure you have the My Disney Experience Mobile app downloaded to your smartphone and utilize the Mobile Ordering option!  I love this for those times where the littles (and bigs!) have had enough of waiting in lines and just want food immediately!  When I sense these meltdowns coming on, I go ahead and order the food so it’s ready when we get there to pick it up and usually the crisis is averted!

Wishing you an incredible vacation with many magical memories made, Heather!
