Taking my 5 year old niece in June and staying at AOA. We've stayed previously at POFQ and loved it but I was thinking that she will like the theming better at AOA. Both are similarly priced when we're going. Thoughts?

    Hello Rebecca,

I appreciate you coming back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel with another great question. We absolutely love assisting guests with our recommendations and tips. Deciding on the resort hotel is a key component and important first step in planning your magical vacation.

I think your niece will be over the moon to stay at Disney's Art of Animation Resort. The theming is some of the best on property, in my opinion. Even the tiniest of details make the resort that much more special. Since you are also traveling in the summer, I am sure she will want to swim a little, too. The Big Blue Pool, main pool area, is the largest in all of the the Walt Disney World resort hotels. It offers a zero-entry heated pool, splash area and even state of the art technology where you can hear the music underwater! Yes, you read that correctly. Over in the Cars area, the pool is fashioned after the Cozy Cone Motel, complete with traffic cone cabanas. Whether you are in a standard room in The Little Mermaid area or a family suite in the Cars, Lion King or Finding Nemo areas, your room will have special little details that she will enjoy. Personally, I loved that the showers look like Ariel's cavern of whozits and whatzits galore in the Little Mermaid rooms.

No matter where you decide to stay, I wish you a pixie-dusted summer trip full of amazing memories!
