I am taking my 2-year old granddaughter for her FIRST visit to Disneyland on May 22nd (the day before she turns three). Is there a button or sign that says "Its my first time at Disneyland?" or "Its my birthday"

Hey there, hi there, Vicki! Welcome to planDisney. We are so glad you have stopped by with your question and I am so happy to help you get an answer.

Oh my goodness! I am so excited for you and your granddaughter to experience this precious memory together. I am happy to report there are definitely complimentary celebratory buttons for special occasions, including a first-visit button and a birthday button. I think your special gal needs both! You can collect these complimentary buttons at City Hall in Disneyland or the Chamber of Commerce in Disney California Adventure Park. You can also ask a Cast Member at a register in most shops and they usually have some on hand as well and can personalize them for you too. I was just in the parks with my friends last month and ran into the Emporium and got two personalized birthday buttons for my two friends who we were celebrating that visit. I love how many Cast Members and Guests take the time to wish you a happy birthday. It really does make the visit special no matter what age you are!

I recommend stopping by Jolly Holiday Bakery Cafe or Candy Palace for a yummy birthday treat. If your granddaughter loves princesses, I would take the time to go to Royal Hall where you have the chance to meet a few different princesses. If you don't want to wait in line, I've had luck finding a few princesses wandering around that Fantasy Faire area.

Vicki, I hope you two have the most magical birthday celebration at The Happiest Place on Earth. If you have any other questions be sure to visit us again. See you real soon!

Meet the Panelist: Carrie, California

Well hello there, friend! I'm Carrie, a work-from-home mom and military wife who currently calls sunny San Diego home. You'll find my family in the parks braving drops and coasters to work up our appetite to take as many snack breaks as we can. While Disneyland is our home away from home, we love trying to make a Walt Disney World Resort vacation happen at least once a year now too. All my friends know I'm the go-to for Disney advice, so I'm here to help you plan and experience the magic on your visit! Learn More About Carrie
