I am taking my 3 year old granddaughter to Disneyland on March 6, 2016. They are predicting rain. I want to make it memorable but I am afraid she will not get to see any of the characters when it is raining. Any advice?

Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Debra. I hope you're excited about your upcoming trip the Disneyland Resort with your granddaughter.

Don't let a bit of rain put a damper on your day! There are plenty of fun, exciting things to do in both Disneyland Park and California Adventure. Some of my family's favorite Disney memories are made on rainy days. One benefit when the skies are gray? Smaller crowds and shorter lines!

Brave the outdoors with umbrellas and ponchos, which can be purchased in retail shops throughout Disneyland park and California Adventure. When my kids were younger, we spent numerous hours at the Disney Junior -- Live on Stage!, as well as Monsters Inc. Mike and Sulley to the Rescue at California Adventure. They're both fun indoor attractions for the little ones. Also, we love riding the classics in Fantasyland as lines are shorter during rainy days. Peter Pan's Flight and Pinocchio's Daring Journey are family favorites for us.

Take some time to peruse the shops along Main Street USA. You'll be amazed at what new treats or surprises you'll discover on a rainy day!

Wishing you a magical time with your granddaughter at the Happiest Place on Earth!

Meet the Panelist: Kiki, California

Greetings from Northern California! I have been fascinated by the magic of Disney since I was a little girl; now that I am a mother of two, I love watching my children experience Disney Parks through their own eyes. I am also surrounded by fellow Disney-loving nurse friends whom I enjoy quick adults-only Disneyland Resort escapes with. Whether you are planning your once-in-a-lifetime family trip or a short adults-only getaway to the Happiest Place on Earth, I am here to help!
