    I am Taking my 5 year old granddaughter to Disney World for her first visit this summer, Just us 2 Gals. I was thinking of Port Orleans - Riverside. What would you recommend in choosing a room,to be close to most amenities and transport, to lessen walking

    Welcome to Disney Parks Moms Panel. Very good to know that you will take your granddaughter for her first time at Walt Disney World Resort. She'll surely love it. My suggestion is that you study the map of Disney’s Port Orleans Resort Riverside and then decide which area is best for you to stay. The Magnolia Bend area, building number 95 has an excellent localization. I also like staying in building 14 on Alligator Bayou area. In the food court, at night, we like to order a Turkey Sandwich followed by an Apple Blossom, it is really delicious. You can find a very informative description about this hotel by visiting Touring Plans. Please call the hotel and specifically tell them in which area you decided that you want to stay. I am sure that a cast member will do his best to try to please you. Your granddaughter will love you even more, if you book for her, a breakfast with the princesses. My favorite place to have this unforgettable meal is Akershus Royal Banquet Hall at Epcot.
