We are taking our 5 year old girl and 9 year old boy to Disney World February 16 and 17. We have a very short time there so would like your help picking out the best things to see and do.

    Hello eastern neighbor!

The first thing you'll need to decide is which parks you'd like to visit. I'm not sure what park tickets you have purchased, but I am going to infer that you have 2 days tickets (no hopper option).  First, I think the Magic Kingdom epitomizes the Disney experience and is one I'd suggest everyone visits. Then with the other three, I'd try to see which best matches your family's preferences by exploring them here:  Epcot, Disney's Hollywood Studios, and Disney's Animal Kingdom.  And if you find your children fall in love with the Magic Kingdom, there isn't thing wrong with spending two days at one park, too!

To help with making the most of your two days and make sure you see the "must-sees," I really like the website www.touringplans.com.  It is from the fine folks behind the book The Unofficial Guide to Walt Disney World, and it offers over 100 touring plans to lead you through your days at the parks.  You will be able to pick a plan that best reflects your family, too. While it does have a nominal fee, I think it is a worthwhile investment. If you'd prefer to go another direction with your planning, we are glad to help.  Just send another question our way with a note indicating that.

Thank you for visiting the 2012 Walt Disney World Moms Panel.
